Hannah Grace

Meet Hannah Grace who hails from Cardiff, but nowadays spends her time between Cardiff and London.
She studied Jazz at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
Her earliest influences were blues, folk and soul. She grew up listening to the likes of Joni Mitchel, Neil Young, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald and Aretha Franklin. A great grounding in music.

And more importantly she makes awesome music.
Hannah Grace can be smooth and sweet, soft and soulful, or butt kicking rocking and rolling. You only have to hear her to appreciate her.

So lets get to the music.

Wow, this one really rocks, it is the title track from her newest EP. I can’t stop playing it.
I’m getting a hint of Abbe May here.
If this one does not take off I will be shocked.
This is pure pop rock with the emphasis on rock.
I just love it.

This one starts of in a really mellow mode, and then becomes a power ballad.
Wow, this young lady can certainly sing.
Such a beautiful song with a twist.
“With all that I’ve done
How could he know
It’s so hard for me letting him go
I meant to be kind but I had to be cruel”
Kind of an anti-Taylor Swift, this girl is dumping him.

If you are gonna do a cover then pick a great song, a hard song, and that’s what separates the wheat from the chaff.
This is one of the greatest songs, by one of the greatest singers.
And Hannah takes it and makes it her own, complete with goose bumps.
This has to be one of the best covers ever of Etta James.
At Last

Finally today we find Hannah in the Snap Studios singing another great song.
There is a distinct jazz vibe in her vocals here. And the power ballad singer slides in sometimes. Man this girl has it all.
A really tight little combo giving her superb backing.

Abbe May

Great day in the morning.
A new track from the fabulous Abbe May, go ahead and make my day.
Are we flirting? I think so. It’s been a while, but she hasn’t missed a beat. There’s some pretty mean guitar in there, I’m guessing maybe Abbe.
