Sara Jackson-Holman is an amazing singer-songwriter who hails from Portland, Oregon. She is also a classically trained pianist, and a cat lover.
Sara has been compared to Feist, Adele, and Lana Del Rey. Her songs have been used in episodes of the television series Hemlock Grove, Castle, Grey’s Anatomy, Bones, 90210, Pretty Little Liars, Orange Is the New Black as well as The Fosters, all of which I have somehow avoided watching.
If some of these TV shows were as good as the music that is featured in them they would be worth watching.
Certainly the music of Sara Jackson-Holman is well worth listening to. Her brand of piano/orchestral rock/pop is something different, and enjoyable.
Let’s get to the music.
First up we have Sara’s latest single, a wonderful piano / vocal track where Sara’s singing is just too beautiful for words.
From the first tinkle of the piano keys you know this is going to be a beautiful summer song. A very languid softly flowing summer on a lazy river. This track highlights both the piano and vocals of the lovely Sara.
Great production on this video, but don’t let it distract you, this is one sublime piece of slightly dark pop. Great vocals.
A terrific live performance @Platoo Side Session for the very talented Sara Jackson-Holman. Sadly no info on the other players, but a very tight combo.
This track was featured on Grey’s Anatomy and Bones, another two series I never watched. It is taken from Sara Jackson-Holman’s critically acclaimed album “Cardiology”.
It is another beautiful piano\vocal\orchestra masterpiece.
OK, one final bonus. Your chance to hear her beautiful EP. This is overflowing with great sounds, enjoy.
