Katie Burden

? Maria Brunner Ventura

Check out the dark delicious voice of Katie Burden.
Katie is a singer/songwriter who hails from a small hippy town in Colorado. Katie Burden spent her formative years bouncing around NYC and later San Francisco. In 2012 she moved to LA.

She first stepped on stage as the backup singer for jennylee of Warpaint, later releasing her own EP – praised for its “mysterious, experimental appeal” by USA Today.

Katie Burden’s stylized atmospheric rock and shamanistic delivery often conjure up the ghost of Jim Morrison but in a modern context, falls somewhere between Bat for Lashes and Joan As Police Woman.

So by now you have to be intrigued, right? So let’s get to the music.

Now this is deeply deliciously dark, like dark chocolate.
Shimmering guitars flank Katie’s awesome voice.
I’m just loving the slinky, hypnotic chorus.
This track really bodes well for the album.
I Can See It Clear

Here’s a delicious kind of creepy yet totally melodic song from Katie, which I’m surprised didn’t take off.
I’m really digging it. Way cool.

Another twisted tale sung is a dark and moody tone by Katie, and it is delicious.
One should always beware the wolf.
